009 Scale Stub Points (two sizes)

This is a model railway stub point for 009 scale. Stub points were commonly found on narrow gauge industrial railways where double flanged wheels were in use. This one has been based on a design found in the Dinorwig and Penrhyn slate quarries of North Wales.

The files are for a right hand point, if you need a left hand design the please use the mirroring tool in your print software. There are three variations of the point available to download here. The original design needs to be aligned in situ, which is a difficult and time consuming to do. The newer designs (in two sizes) have a joining bar that keeps the toe section in perfect alignment with the main body of the point. This is not prototypical, but makes life a lot easier.
