This is set of jigs for drilling holes for 1/4" dowels. It includes files for two widths: one for 3/4" stock and one for 1.5" stock.
The jig has an inset suitable for a Kreg 2" Classic Face Clamp, which is useful when drilling into thin stock, or it may be placed in a vise or held firmly in place.
The jig also includes alignment lines for each hole. The edges of the jig are flat and may be used to register alignment against a flat surface.
Consider using a piece of tape or a collar to mark the drilling depth needed for your dowel.
You will need the following materials:
- 2x 1" lengths of 1/4" ID stainless steel tubing (make sure your drill bit fits in the tube)
- Epoxy or cyanoacrylate glue, depending on how snugly the tubing fits
Insert the steel tubing into the jig and glue into place.
