This is a bit out of the ordinary, but it's designed to be very cheap... Drill sleeves and bearings can be expensive or hard to find, but plastic alone will wear immediately... So this design uses a different approach... A Staples brand disposable pen. The internal diameter of which happens to be a tight 1/4". (OD is .34" if you want to check other brands) (BIC was too small)
So here's the setup...
1. Pop the ends of the pen
2. Cut to 2"
3. Insert 1/4" drill bit into pen sleeve (it will be a tight fit, but you don't want it to move)
4. Use the depth gauge or ruler, calipers, etc. to set the sleeve offset from the drill bit tip
5. Use a 11/32" bit to expand holes in Jig. (As we all know even a perfect print will have ridges... So I slightly undersized my holes.)
Depth Gauge Indicators: • = 1/4" so the options are 1/2" depth, 3/4" depth or 1" depth
