Just another thumb nut screw thing for your printer or router or whatever.
Although, its not like all of the others. This one the nut is completely enclosed and simply not pressed into either end. Great for things that might get tight and youre worried about it coming out, or you just dont want an ugly nut in plain view.
Made for a 1/4-20 (or -24) nut, but an M6 may also fit, albeit a little loose.
I had printed a bunch of these up and my dad saw them and couldnt figure out how I got the nut in there. Granted, they were black, so the insert was a little hard to see, but still.
No glue required, simply press fit it all in there. Print with supports, but print one first to make sure it will fit, depending on printers, it may need some tweaking/scaling. I printed about 5 before they went together nicely without too much force. But again, you will need to use some sort of pliers or something to get it in there. It is tight by design (who wants it to fall out?)
