1/80th scale Ares 1 Rocket

The Ares 1 was the first rocket in the constellation programme and was made of parts from the space shuttle such as the space shuttles SRB and its external fuel tank both used in the first and upper stage. it also used a modified version of the Saturn V's J-2 engine called the J-2X. it was designed to be used as a cheap way to get to the ISS however due to the cost of the constellation programme and the danger of the rocket itself lead to the cancelation of the programme in favour of the commercial crew programme.
