1 -Gang Electrical Box Mounting Bracket

I needed a bracket for mounting an electrical box between two joists without using nails, so I produced this design. The bracket mounts to the side of the joist using two deck screws and has an offset so you can properly install the faceplate. The standard box you buy in the “big box” stores has nails. You just remove these and use this bracket instead.The box is retained in the bracket by two M3 screws threaded into the top and bottom of the bracket. I have included a number of bracket adapter extensions so that you can also turn the box holder for mounting the outlet facing away from the joist. This is the way I ended up mounting my box in the cover photo. The brackets are held in place by M4 hardware.Suggest printing out of PETG if you are going to use this to withstand any heat encountered.
