this secures (to a 1/2'' post) a 1'' optic, or a DC motor (for example for the chopper wheels among the DOCPHOTON thingiverse offerings) or a gas cell/sample cell, etc. Standard 1/4'' optics bolts self-tap the vise end that grips the 1/2'' post and another for the strap adjust. No post processing, just ready to use after printing!
