I just Drill a 2mm hole and use self-Tapping Screws – Heat the Screw tip with a Flame to Make a Perfect self-moulding thread the wont lead to stress Fractures in the Plastic-

There are in there Vertical Printing Position which gives an excellent result and surprisingly strong Beam using PLA+ Filament- --- Printing them in a Horizontal Position works well but tend to have a lot more flex and will Bow during printing the printing cycle if there not very firmly stuck to the Main Bed –

A heat gun can be used to get them perfectly Straight (if bowed) and help remove Internal Tension of the filament,,,,
