The intent of this thing is to keep semi-honest people honest without causing alarm for your employer. If someone wants to steal badly enough from the company fridge, nothing will stop them, but this is a good deterrent. It simply makes it more obvious that someone is stealing food. They will no longer be able to swing open the door, swipe a pop, and walk away.
