I used 1/2" long springs, hot glued in place. Instead of the rubber grommets.

I used 1/2" long springs, hot glued in place. Instead of the rubber grommets. It seems much stiffer. But have not tried in on my X-Uav plane yet. You can find an assortment of the springs at Harbor Freight warehouse.
