17mm Ball Mount

17mm ball mount (pictured with a clip for a One Plus 6 phone) to be used with a Garmin suction cup stand.

This project was designed in Fusion 360, the threads used are ACME Screw Threads. The base was modeled (25mm x 3.5mm) into the back of the clip for the phone and printed as a single unit. Thread the nut onto the mount before permanently affixing it to the base with super glue.

The objective of this project was to have the mount firmly lock onto the ball with less than 1/2 of a turn. This objective was achieved.
