A simple filament cleaner/lubricator to help with your 3d printer.
I've seen many designs, but decided to make my own. Self-sufficiency is key!
Print 2 of these, cut some sponge to go in the alcoves. ~A spot of oil on the sponges helps with lubrication~, then attach around your filament with zip ties (just above the extruder)
Voila! Less dirt, and less extruder stepper skipping!
Although designed with 1.75mm filament in mind, I have better experience scaling to 115% before printing :
