This is an easy to mount DIY minimalist 18650 battery tray.
It is easy to take the batteries in and out, and the batteries also have a good connection.
it is also a lightweight design, I even used it in drones.
The file: NanoLongRange18650tray.stl works with Dave_C_FPV's nanno long range quad copter.
to make connectors:
Strip 35 mm of stranded 18awg wire for each battery terminal connection.
Wrap the wire 1x around connector hole and solder the wire to its self outside battery tray, being careful not to melt the tray.
You may then solder a different wire to connect to other electronics
Use M2 screws to mount the battery holder in place.
PLA is not durable enough to last if you take the battery in and out many times and may melt when you solder the wire for the connections.
taulman's nylon 230 works well, however PETG and TPU may also be used.
the freecad design is included so you can modify this part as well
