I needed a mock-up for a shock absorber so I modeled one up and it actually works quite well. It's not a perfect representation, but the dimensions are correct for what I wanted.
No supports needed for anything, unless your printer can't do overhangs well you may need some for the spring, but with a slow speed and good cooling I didn't have a problem. There are flats on the spring to lay against the print bed for good adhesion as well, don't try printing it upright without supports because it won't work, ask me how I know.
It uses one 5/16" x 3.5" hex bolt and nut, as well as an optional washer to help keep the spring aligned on the cylinder bottom flange. If the cylinder is a tight fit on the hex head, just file the head down a bit. All critical dimensions are matched to the photo, outer diameter of the spring and flanges is 42mm. You may have to drill out the main cylinder to allow the bolt to pass through, and also drill out or tap the cylinder bottom a bit to let you to thr
