My first simplified car model was the [1969 Ford Mustang](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1933670). It still is one of the most downloaded things I published. In the course of a attendance at a maker fair I revisited the model and upgraded it to use layers of various width. As I wanted to create a larger model for th fair I used 10 mm as the standard width, 18 mm for the colored core and 4 mm for the thin layers. In order to create the impression of actual tires I used two different woods. The new car interior with seats was another enhancement I adopted from [other models](https://www.thingiverse.com/ZenziWerken/collections/cars-vehicles) I published.

By the way the new (larger) size resulted in a more dramatic angle for the photography. It's simply possible to get the object bigger on camera.

I cut the model on my [Sorotec Basicline](https://www.zenziwerken.de/my-real-cnc) using a 2.4 mm spiral toothed endmill for the 10 and 4 mm material and a 4 mm single flute for the 18 mm
