This tool is for a very early model carb with a part number not even listed in the service manual or parts directory.
Float height is set to 24.25mm from factory and is measured without the carb bowl gasket within the casting.
I'm sure they were able to set the float height to a 1/4 mm by hand in 1972.
Here's a tool to do it instead.
