2 Way Orb Speaker

I have always wanted to make a speaker in the shape of an orb or sphere. As I have never been really great at woodwork and I certainly do not have the equipment required to turn something like that out of a block of wood it never happened. Until... I got my 3D printer! I have been working on this design on and off and had a few attempts at printing the spheres. A few weeks ago I upgraded from my Cocoon Create 3D to a Cocoon Create 3D Touch (Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus) and with that I had another go. I scrapped all the designs I had made to date and started from a blank canvas and this design is the result. There is still room for improvement but I am quite happy with how it turned out.

Just so you know - this speaker is most definitely not designed for sound quality, it is the look that I was after. So don't expect this unit to produce ultra HiFi sound - but, it does sound good enough for me to use it and to have now gone started designing an "orb amplifier" to complement it
