Back in 2018, I designed this model for my 2009 VW GTi. It mounted in place of the stock 2 din stereo and allowed me to mount the Raspberry Pi 7" touch screen in its place (the original version - I think there is a new version out and don't know if that will fit). The Raspberry Pi gets mounted to the back of the screen. I also used a HiFiBerry DAC which fed into a standard car amp. Sparkfun's CANBUS dev board was used to tie in the steering wheel buttons (volume controls). A dock for a Nexus 6P was built into the model as well. The phone just slides into the slot just below the screen. Open Auto was used on the Raspberry Pi which provided the Android Auto host. There are 4 parts to print. The touch screen mount, the left and right brackets, and the dock. The brackets and dock need small sections of support. The touch screen mount gets ironing on the top most layer to give it a smoother appearance. It should be printed in PETG or something else that can withstand the heat in
