I wanted a camera for my laser etcher and for my octoprint server and unable to find a cheap option, I decided to rip an old laptops camera out and solder it to a usb cord. Usually the colors match, but occasionally they don't. If you want a more in depth tutorial about how to remove a laptop camera and solder it to a USB cord there is an excellent youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8pFkhkTvqo
I made a mounting system for 2020 extrusions that should fit nearly any laptop camera, it uses m3 screws / nuts and is incredibly easy to make / put together. I would recommend supports on the 2020 mount, but they aren't necessary if you have some good bridging or don't mind carving off some stringers with a knife or something.
The 2020 mount uses a V slot screw to lock it into place, you can find those here on thingiverse if you don't have any extras laying around.
I used PETG and .2mm layer height, but it should work with any filament.
