2020 Spool Holder

Spool holder for Creality CR-10 and other printers that use 2020 frame. Uses standard M3 or M4 bolts with T-nuts.

At the bare minimum print two upright supports and the spool rod. Adapters are also printable for various size spool openings to keep spools from hanging too low. To save filament you can print the 40 mm adapter and the 50 and 60 mm sleeves, rather than printing the separate 50 and 60 mm spool adapters.

The filament guide helps keep the filament from falling off the edge of the spool, and was printed wide enough to accomodate my dual z-axis lead screw tensioner.

None of the pieces require supports, and are rigid enough to be printed with low infill as long as you have adequate top and bottom layers and shells. I print with 1 mm top and bottom layers and 2 mm shells.

10-9-2020: updated with spiral sleeve and slotted conical clamps to hold various size spools centered to keep them from hanging too low.
