2026: Peace, Love & PLA

This model is a three-dimensional 2026, printed in matte white PLA, flanked by Santa Claus and the Befana dressed in full 1970s style—because when the world feels stuck in “permanent conflict mode”, you might as well dust off the only historical period where the collective answer was: peace, love, and bell-bottom pants. The number 2026 is solid, central, readable, and intentionally simple; the 0 is not just any zero but the peace & love symbol, rotated on the Z axis because peace, every now and then, deserves to be looked at from a different angle. All the numbers are gold, except the zero, which stays black—standing out, as those trying to say something sensible usually do. The model is intentionally single-color, and no, not because I don’t know how to design a multicolor print, but because I chose not to contribute to the creation of a brand-new plastic island made entirely of filament poops. A multicolor version would have meant dozens of filament changes, hours of wasted printing time, and enough waste to make even the trash bin feel judgmental. Printing everything in matte white PLA was therefore an ethical, practical, and—let’s be honest—slightly therapeutic choice. Yes, the photograph (just like the model) is AI-generated.
