Dodecadodecahedon as Ornament

Here is an approximate dodecadodecahedron created by a method that avoids overlapping triangles.

The 20 sets of rhombic clusters on a dodecahedron have been replaced by 20 sets of congruent triangles. The point where the triangles meet moves in and out along a line passing through the origin dependent on the value of a scale factor. One choice of scale factor makes a dodecadodecahedron; negating that choice results in a dodecahedron.
