Drop-stop fix for Moccamaster

My Moccamaster always had a problem with the drop stop, the coffee always runs along the drop stop lever and on to the lid of the coffee pot. First cup always resulted in coffee on the table and the coffee continue to drive from the lever on to the heater.
After having my Moccamaster Technivorm Clubline för two years, i decided to fix this.

The mechanics for the drop stop is faulty from the factory and the drop stop only opens about one Millimeter when the pot is on the heater and the lever
