Whats more fun than smashing things right? Well why not atoms! Okay, I might be pushing things here but this project is both fun and a desktop novelty even if it doesn't cause CERN sleepless nights. The idea here is based on an updated solid state Van de Graaff (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_de_Graaff_generator) design using a high voltage ionizer which I got from eBay and 3D printed like the ones used in the Cockcroft-Walton accelerators (see here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/399694535
