Cat Scratch Post Base

We bought a cat scratching post that is essentially a cardboard tube covered in carpet affixed to a padded board. The tube is attached to the board via a small plastic base that has a nut in it which is attached to a bolt that runs through a hole in the board. The original base is very short, so the cats knocked the tube off on the first day. This one was designed to be tall enough and tight enough in the tube so that it will no longer come apart.
