Mini Lathe Carriage Stop / Travel dial

This is a travel dial holder, or carriage stop for a Chinese mini lathe. You can fit a DTI gauge as I have shown in the pictures, or an 8mm bar to act as a carriage stop. Useful when you have to make many of the same part, or when you need to turn a feature to an exact length.

I used an M4 button head screw to clamp the DTI, and made a knurled screw to clamp to the ways.

I've used this a couple of times already, don't know how I ever managed without...
