I helped a friend set up his media room with projector and electric screen. The wall where the screen is mounted rises 6' from the floor, but then is slanted at a 45" angle for about 3 feet before meeting the horizontal ceiling. Hanging the screen flat on the wall would put it too close to the floor. Hanging it from the flat ceiling would bring it forward too close to the seating.
