Skull Hop Beer Tap

This is my first post. Was inspired by a Hop Beer Tap design I found on here and thought it would be cooler with a skull added. Im new to this hobbie so I couldnt figure out how to edit a mesh. So for the base, I created an adapter which can be glued to the Hopskull with a standard beer tap nut that press fits in that.

If anyone out there knows how to make the adapter and the hop skull one singe part or make it so the nut is recessed into the bottom, that would be awesome! Let me know how to
