This is a housing for SS40 or SS41 type Hall Effect Position Sensors. It will also work with other sensors using the same package style. These sensors use a small transistor like package that is difficult to mount. This housing allows the sensor to be soldered to the end of a 5 mm diameter cable and then slid into the housing and glued in place.
