I saw how the cat collars at the pet store cost around $10 and thought I could do it for cheaper.
What is good about this project is that if your cat outgrows or loses their old collar, you can make another one.

The width of the collar strap is around 1 cm but it can be scaled larger if needed.
To get the thickness of the strap I wanted, I cut strip of fabric with a width of 3 inches and folded it inward three times so the part of the fabric that could fray was on the inside.
