Epicycloidal Bowls Vases

Here are some bowls and vases based on epicycloids. Epicycloids have been stacked so that the exterior of the bowl forms a portion of an ellipse rotated around the vertical axis.

Four bowls are included:

epi_bowl_1.stl - small flat bowl with 3 cusps
epi_bowl_2.stl - roughly spherical bowl with 5 cusps
epi_bowl_3.stl - tall bowl with 9 cusps
hypo_bowl_4.stl - tall bowl with no cusps

OpenSCAD code, which can construct bowls based on epicycloids and hypocycloids, is included.
