If you have kids or ever lived with anyone who was messy one of the main things you lose often other than keys and your wallet is the TV remote.
When I ask the kids to clean the remote is always somewhere different. This was created so there is a single spot that the remote goes and "should" always be in this spot.
This one was made to be on a table mounted or as just a stand. I will mount mine because the stand would just get misplaced also.
