I wanted a handle for my bottle. I couldn't find one to purchase. Once I got a 3D printer I looked for one I could print. When I couldn't find one still, I decided this would be a good project to learn how to design one. And this is the result.
The edges are sharp. I sanded mine to be rounded. I am sure this could be included in the design. I may add that at some point. But for now I thought I would share what I came up with in case anyone else is looking for something like this.
If you need a tighter fitment around the bottle, you could print the handle portion with less than 100% ratio on the Z axis.
I used 1/4 20 pan head bolts with standard nuts. Not sure of the length at the moment since I used a grinder to size them to my needs.
V2 UPDATE
Updated design of the clamp.
- Added material in the corner of the clamp to add strength.
- Increased the width of the ends of the clamp for strength.
- Still works with handle file
