It's an amazing open source program for the plotting of formulae, and comes with a very extensive ranges of examples.
Scherk caught my eye as an intriguing shape and the (to me) amazing fact that it was the result of plotting a fairly simple formula: sinh(x)*sinh(y)-sin(z)
With x and y ranging from -3 to +3, and z from -5*pi/2 to +5*pi/2
Made solid and printable in Meshmixer so the result is a representation of Scherk tower but not exactly Scherk tower.
