This is a clock I built for one of my sons who was having trouble knowing whether it was day time or night time
At 7pm the lights all turn purple. Every 30 minutes, one of them goes out until 7am at which point they all turn yellow. The process repeats with a yellow light going out every 30 minutes until 7pm.
This design allowed him to know whether it was day or night and to get a visual sense for how much time was left before eit
