Car lighter Charger

My smartphone charges 1A of the car but it does not get enough. If navigation is turned on, it does not charge at all. If it is turned off, it charges only 15% in 1 hour.
The UBEC regulator we used in the RC models was a charger with 3A - MAX 6A power. I could not find a high-value charger at 1A. I do not think they give the currents they say in their 1A sales.
