Attached to a small PM motor (as a generator) this can generate considerably more power than an equivalent sized solar panel. (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine) OR just thread a fishing line through the central hole and use as a wind sculpture (the 2mm hole goes right through). Either way, it looks quite good and is not noisy or obtrusive.
