This is a repair bracket for a Sony PVM-14M2U video production monitor. As many of these monitors have been handled roughly in their lifetime it is not uncommon for them to have broken CRT mounting points. When this occurs the CRT can shift in the case which can cause an out of alignment image, distortion from the CRT contacting the speaker, or at worst complete failure of the device.
