We have a number of shades that are raised and lowered by Somfy motors. Ours are the battery-powered units, which use a tube of 8 lithium AA batteries. The batteries goes in a tube (Somfy part number 9014020, they call it a "wand") that's about 18" long. We've managed to break a couple of the clips that Somfy gives you to hold the tubes, so I crafted this simple replacement. It's not fancy, but it works well, and you can print it in a color that's compatible with your decor.
