#24v Guitar Mod
**Please read all the way through before printing**
This is a simple platform designed to allow wiring two A23 (12v) batteries in series within the profile of a 9v battery, allowing it to be used in any standard guitar with active pickups without need to make modifications to the guitar itself.
#Why though?
It's well documented that guitars with active pickups can benefit from having a higher voltage provided, such as increased attack, higher clarity under distortion, significantly better headroom, and significantly reduced compression. You can find numerous videos on Youtube demonstrating the differences.
The standard way of doing this is to either mill a larger opening in your guitar body to fit two 9v batteries in series, or to try to squeeze a second 9v into your wiring compartment. The former is a permanent modification to a guitar; the latter is not always possible. The 7-string I wanted to try this on, for instance, has 2 toggle knobs, a volume kno
