250 gram spool

This model is purely to satisfy my own OCD in wanting to see if I could fit 2 small spools on a single one of my AMS spool adapters, and also to continue to test my knowledge and learning with CAD software. I hand wound the filament from the original 250 gram spools onto my mini spools and have not had any issues, but disclaimer: re-wind filament at your own risk, it is a bit of a pain to rewind spools and you have to be very meticulous with it to prevent snags. The easiest way I have found is to clip the mini spool to the spool adapter and wind the filament that way. Important note: While I did design these 2 halves not to come back apart, the pressure from the filament once wound on the spool can sometimes cause the halves to start to slide back apart, to prevent this I have started putting superglue on the mating surfaces before putting the halves together. This has made sure the halves stay solidly together. This mini spool is made to hold 250grams of filament, the amount on most m
