It is designed to have the filament feeding through from the sides.

Underside fitting of pnuematic passthrough fitting.

There is a "Not_10mm_Body_Filament_Out_Side_On_Sensor_box_Button_Microswitch.stl"
which has no 10mm Boden fitting threads

This is for use with a microswitch with a lever arm. It is used to detect if the Filament has run out/snapped, etc..
