Mechanical Press

A press that can be built out of strong string and a commonly available pint-sized tin can.
This can be used to press i.e. grapes or oranges for juice, or to extract the remaining liquid from herbal macerates (oil, vinegar, alcohol, etc...).
Drill a few holes into the bottom of the can, secure the top and bottom with 3 loops of strong string (can be kept together for future use, it's possible to slip them out for cleaning and refilling). Then work away with the spanner to gradually increase th
