Throttle cable on a Polaris MSX jet ski has a thin shell that aligns the cable at the end where the steel cable exits a larger sheath and enters another smaller sheath going up to the throttle sensor. I had two instances of older cables with cracked alignment shells which caused the two sheaths to bow thus negating the throttle action of the rider.
