This is a mounting plate for the classic Arduino's Duemilanove/Diecimila/NG/Uno and any other ones that has the same form factor. This mounting plate serves three purposes:

- act as a spacer between the mounting surface and the board (3.5 mm)
- prevent scratching the mounting surface with the pins underneath the board
- prevent short-circuiting the board component pins if the mounting surface is metallic.
