Hex Brush/Pen holder

Messing about on Fusion 360 investigating the copy sketch to plane technique and came up with this rather cool looking brush/pen holder. Printed well on my Prusa at 0.3 mm and took about 11 hours in total, the support removal was quite tedious and wasteful though. Over half the weight of the finished print was in the support structures, as can be seen in the pictures. I am currently looking for ways to minimise the support structures in Slic3r, any pointers would be welcome?
