If you are not using the servo mechanism, you can use this part to mount a dial indicator in it's place.

WARNING: DO NOT home the printer while the dial indicator is attached. It will crash into the frame.

UPDATE: with the second version of the mount the indicator can be left in place without colliding into the frame.
