The first thing we at VintageElectronics.ca noticed when we started using our new Anet A6 (a Prussa i3 clone) was that during prolonged printing at high speeds (400-500%) the Y-axis stepper motor overheated, stretched the nylon belt and at some point the layers shifted by as much as 4-6mm (1/4").
We designed and installed the bracket for a regular 12V 40mm fan on the back wall near the motor, and powered the fan from the main PS.
