Von Koch Snowflake

A Von Koch Snowflake is a triangle based fractal. Starting with an regular triangle, the center of each side becomes the center for a triangle that is 1/3 of the side length. Then this is repeated for each of the sides of the resulting star, turning this into a snowflaky object. In this case, there are 4 repetitions of this proces.
