After doing some math the MK3 has a capped blower fan. Prusa limits the RPM to 4200. The low speed makes for a CFM, cubic foot per minute, that is about 3-4 which is very low. A 40mm Noctua has a CFM of about 12 which is 3-4X more powerful. This lack of output means the bigger the opening the less effective the shroud will be hence why there are cooling issues on the MK3.
